Company Direction

Our vision for the Boulder Buddies is to ultimately have a weekly television series that can educate children through innocent but creative means. We feel that television is out of control and people are intentionally making things that hurt children. Our motto is "We want to put the "G" back into G – ratings".

We will never waiver on our commitment to avoid slang swearing, derogatory remarks, hidden agendas or any other negative influence on children in our scripts for videos, lyrics for songs or any other products we may develop. We would also like to see the Boulder Buddies in our schools as well as the retail stores bringing a positive influence to children nation-wide. We want to keep our pricing down so all kids can enjoy the Boulder Buddies.

The Boulder Buddies support various ministries and charities worldwide and want to expand its reach to others even more.

The Story of "The Boulder Buddies"

The story of the Boulder Buddies is the story of two parents, Dave & Lori, their four children and some modeling clay. The way it started was like this: One night back in 2001 two parents are playing with their kids on the kitchen table with some clay. Dave made a character that looked funny, at least it looked funny to me (I am Dave by the way). Lori is here with me by the way making sure the story is told correctly, seeing as though it will be passed down for generations to come. We realized that for adults to goof around with clay we needed some real modeling clay, so we went and bought two packs of multi-colored clay. It cost about $29.95 each but we thought it a worthy expense. I still have some of the clay in my office today as a keepsake. That night we started creating a group of characters we called the Pebble People, but that name was taken so we went with a better name, thus the Boulder Buddies were born. We made the characters and put some on the shelf for a visual aid. My wife and I thought they were cute and that maybe other people would want them. We made puppets of them and shot test videos on our camcorder and thought they were great. We hired an artist to make pictures of the clay figures, which are some of the pictures on our web-site. We knew we needed a video but did not know how to get one made because they are very expensive. Through a series of events, a friend of a friend kind of deal, we found a person that teaches animation who agreed to do the project. Another friend knew a person with a recording studio that does incredible work and so our team was coming together. We believed that God had led us to the right people. We then wrote our “Adventures in Learning” video and began developing our plush line of Boulder Buddies. Through the help of our friends and family we have been able to bring the Boulder Buddies to you and that is where we are today.
